Desirae Browne, LCPC

Desirae Browne is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the State of Maryland. She has a Master of Education in School Counseling from Loyola University Maryland (2017) and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Towson University (2014).

Ms. Browne’s vision of counseling is similar to Frederick Douglass’ quote, “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men (adults).” Ms. Browne believes that establishing a supportive and trusting relationship and environment is the foundation of counseling. Ms. Browne also believes that the answers and guidance clients seek is already within them. Through collaborative effort the clinician can support the client in accessing these goals and solutions and begin to experience empowerment and growth.

Ms. Browne specializes in working with children (ages 8-12) and their families. Ms. Browne currently works as a full time elementary school counselor. She has experience working with children and adolescents. Ms. Browne has worked with individuals in group and individual settings. She utilizes Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.
