Bobby Collins, LGPC
"I believe everyone has the capacity to grow, heal, and create meaningful change. Sometimes, having the right support and a safe place to begin can make all the difference."
Bobby Collins is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in Maryland with nearly 24 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across educational, mental health, and community-based settings. Throughout his career, he has supported individuals from diverse backgrounds navigating anxiety, emotional and behavioral challenges, life transitions, and involvement with the criminal justice system. He specializes in men's issues.
Mr. Collins holds a Master of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in School Counseling from Roberts Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology from La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Collins believes meaningful change begins with self-awareness. Understanding how our experiences shape our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can help us grow and become the best versions of ourselves. His approach to counseling is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and genuine connection. He uses a person-centered, integrative approach that incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). Together, you'll explore your experiences, identify patterns that may be holding you back, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools to help you move forward.
Mr. Collins understands that reaching out for support isn't always easy. His goal is to provide a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. You will work together at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on what matters most to you and the changes you hope to make.
