K. Courtiney Jacobs, LCPC

K. Courtiney Jacobs is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the State of Maryland. She has a Master of Education in School Counseling from Loyola University Maryland (2017), Master of Science in Human Services content area Family Counseling from University of Baltimore (2014), and started her undergraduate career at Delaware State University and transferred to Coppin State University to earn a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management (2011).

Ms. Jacobs’s vision of counseling is similar to the African Proverb- “If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far go together”. She believes that building relationships with clients is pivotal in helping clients discover their strengths, opportunities, and motivations to help them achieve optimal success in order for them to thrive in their everyday lives. Ms. Jacobs will work collaboratively with her clients to create a treatment plan that will help empower them to succeed while going through life circumstances.

Ms. Jacobs currently works as a full time Middle School Counseling Department Chair. She has experience working with adolescents and young adults. Ms. Jacobs has worked with individuals in group and individual settings. She utilizes Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to assist clients in achieving their therapeutic goals. Ms. Jacobs is a firm believer that you do not have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great. So, let’s start today!
